About the Team

We are a group of Cal Poly students passionate about cutting-edge automotive technology. Every year we build a prototype vehicle to compete in Shell's Eco-Marathon Competition, a race focused strictly on fuel efficiency. These vehicles are designed and manufactured entirely in house by our dedicated student members, and run only on normal, 87-octane gasoline or electricity from a battery. At the 2022 competition,

E-Ventus (pictured above) earned 1st place out of about 13 teams by achieving 132 miles per kilowatt hour. We are currently working on designing a new electric car for the 2023 competition.
