About the Team

We are a group of Cal Poly students passionate about cutting-edge automotive technology. Every year we build a prototype vehicle to compete in Shell's Eco-Marathon Competition, a race focused strictly on fuel efficiency. These vehicles are designed and manufactured entirely in house by our dedicated student members, and run only on normal, 87-octane gasoline. At the 2019 competition, Delamina (pictured above) earned 15th place out of about 100 teams by achieving just under 600 miles per gallon. We are currently re-creating the E-vehicle and IC-vehicle for the 2020 season, with a goal of besting Cal Poly's all-time school record of 2752 MPG.
